Ministry Opportunities at the World Equestrian Games

The World Equestrian Games (WEG) were held at the Kentucky Horse Park from September 25th to October 10th, 2010. It was the largest equine event ever held in the United States, and the largest sporting event ever held in Kentucky. More than 500 athletes and 600 horses came from 50+ countries to compete in eight disciplines - dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, para-equestrian, show jumping and vaulting.

The Games are held every four years, two years prior to the Olympic Games. This is the first time they've ever been held outside Europe.

AFFILIATED INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES (AIM) is the umbrella organization coordinating Christian ministries at the time of the World Equestrian Games, and Equestrian Ministries International is a leader in AIM.

We are pleased to report that we had over 750 volunteers helping with the World Equestrian Games (WEG). As Christians, our goal was to be of service by helping visitors from the U.S. and around the world have a quality experience.

Our activities are ongoing in terms of helping organizations and visitors to the Kentucky Horse Park. And we look forward to going to Normandy, France for the next World Equestrian Games in 2014.
